Child Obesity

Children who are overweight will increasingly look serious health conditions that in the earlier period were associated exclusively with adults. High cholesterol, high blood sugar, depression, and type 2 diabetes are presently a few of these. Even the Surgeon General has through clear that the problem of overweight children is “a chief public health concern.” Recent studies on the subject expose startling new information:

• Over the most recent thirty years, the percentage of over - burden children in the U.S. has doubled, bringing it to 30 percent.

• 80 percent of children who are overweight at age 10 will unmoving be over weight at age 25.

• 70 percent of diabetes threat in adolescents can be attributed to surfeit weight.

• Overweight children are 9 times further likely to have high blood strain than non- overweight children.

More than always, our children are eating poor-quality food at home, at school and in restaurants. Children who put away fast food also consume further calories, unhealthy fats, total carbohydrates, added sugar, less fiber and fewer fruits and vegetables than those who don’t. It’s simply not a great recipe for good health.
