New Best Search Engine For Blackberry Devices

New Best Search Engine For Blackberry Devices

When it comes to high tech smartphones, it can sometimes be difficult getting the right server and access to the internet on your mobile phone. For most well known brands, this can be a problem because not all search engines work well with mobile phones. The Blackberry range for example, has come out with a new edition of the best search engine suitable for Blackberry mobile phone holders.

Blackberry devices will feature a new search engine as a default from Microsoft. Microsoft has its own Windows Phone 7 platform, but it's looking to strengthen its presence across other platforms in deals such as this one which places the Bing search engine and mapping solution as the preferred choice on RIM's upcoming BlackBerry devices running the new BlackBerry 7 OS.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was a surprise guest at RIM's annual BlackBerry World event, where he showed up to help announce the partnership. Although Bing will become the preferred search option and the Bing app will be the default search and mapping program from RIM, carriers will be able to change that based on their own search deals.

This deal and an alliance with Nokia as well make it clear the Microsoft is eager to put Bing on the smartphone map beyond the Windows Phone 7 platform.
